Mission Statement

Nueces County Hospital District (NCHD) will work with Spohn Health System to make available high quality, accessible, and cost effective healthcare services to the indigent residents of Nueces County, consistent with statutory requirements and available resources. NCHD will also seek to expand its role as a regional public health administrator and advocate to include other populations.

Vision Statement

Nueces County Hospital District will be a financially sound, self-sufficient unit of government which will provide a health care management and payment system designed to improve the health status of designated populations of South Texas.
